Spotlight Pictures has acquired international rights to the romance Tar starring James Franco, Mila Kunis and Jessica Chastain.
Tar is based on a poetry collection by Pulitzer prize-winning poet CK Williams. The film blends adaptations of 12 poems to create a lyrical road trip through Williams’ life.
Franco stars as Williams, while Kunis plays his wife Catherine and Chastain portrays his mother. Rounding out the cast are Zach Braff, Henry Hopper and Bruce Campbell.

With expectations of a box-office bonanza this weekend, Disney is already planning a sequel to Oz the Great and Powerful, THR has confirmed.
Mitchell Kapner has been hired to write a script for the follow-up, which would continue the adventures of Oz, played by James Franco.

Lionsgate nabbed U.S. distribution rights to the crime drama “Blood Ties” from Worldview Entertainment, the studio said Wednesday from the Cannes Film Festival.
The film premiered at the French Riviera gathering this week and features Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, and Marion Cotillard.
